The Ixian Grand & All Suites - Adults Only

Had a fantastic holiday here at the ixia grand the hotel staff were all lovely in particular Vicky and Maria in the main restaurant! The only gripe for me was many guests had started to bring their personal speakers to the pool during our stay and this became a little chaotic if in between different types of music but I’m sure the hotel would have sorted if it became a problem We had a slight issue with one of the glass doors in our apartment but was sorted by the time we finished unpacking ! Food great rooms clean and spacious ! We stayed in the deluxe spa bath sea view room and had the corner room which was like a double size with 2 balconies room 301 !!! Unreal !! Evening entertainment was good to would be nice to have it on for a little longer as most nights finished at 10 Overall a great holiday

Hello Ixian grand Well where do I start On arrival to hotel we checked in that was easy the room was very clean and comfortable. The main restaurant was fantastic the food was always to our liking with plenty of choice as far as we were concerned different every day all the staff in hotel from cleaning to restaurant to bar staff and reception where dressed immaculate and all very helpful Pools were ok and pool bar was very good with a snack bar if you needed anything else during the day. All very positive The weather was great while we were there and a good positive is the grounds where fabulous all very well maintained and clean A couple of criticisms though but no major problems The dining room inside the seating is too low so we always sat outside The small quiet pool was difficult to sit as the usual culprits reserved beds at 0630 am in the morning ?? This needs to be looked at !! Overall we had a amazing stay here it was our second time and 100% would go back we highly recommended this hotel If you want a relaxing time with no screaming children then this is a great place to stay Definitely worth visiting Rhodes old and new town it’s only a 20 minute drive in taxi and costs around 20 euros Well done ixian grand keep up the good work 😎

A fantastic place with great staff

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, definitely a 4 star. We have just spend 10 days here and there are a few pros and cons. Pros: Close to airport. Transfer was about 30mins with a couple hotel stop offs before ours. Plenty of sunbeds. We went down at about 8:30am and there was 90% free. Even plenty left at 10/11am. The quiet pool is impossible to get a sunbed if you’re interested. We did a boat trip one day where the pick up was 7:30am and people had already put towels down but there was nobody lying on any of them. Hotel offer a taxi service to Old Town. There is a QR code in reception that offers a taxi service which is €9 per adult each way. This was quite handy to pre book for whenever but it was never on time for us personally. Rooms have big beds which are comfy. Few cons about the room which i will get to later. Staff are so friendly. Every single member of staff we met was always so friendly. Makes the experience more special when the staff are lovely. There are a handful of restaurants around the hotel which are nice. We went to Golden Fish (Chinese), Sirtaki (Greek) and Napoli Pizzeria (Italian). Each one we went to twice. Small walking distance maybe 4 minute walk outside the hotel. Cons: Can’t stress enough how slippy it is around the pool. People slipped every day without a doubt. The paved tiles on the grass to the beach are dangerous and i saw 4 people fall badly within the first 2 hours of the day. The hotel have put a rubber mat down on one small bit of the pool which helps, they need this all around the pool to stop this issue. The steps into the pool are invisible. You can only see the top step as it’s so shallow in the water, the rest is a guessing game. Prepare for a stubbed toe when trying to get out the pool. We had a room with a spa bath. This meant that our bathroom was tiny. It literally had the shower and then the toilet touching the edge of the shower opening. The sink and bath were outside the bathroom which i found strange. There is only one mirror which is above the sink. This is too high for you to sit and do your hair and make up, you have to stand whilst getting ready. A full length mirror would have been nice to get ready. Also our room was up a flight of stairs. So we opened our room door to a staircase which was different. 3 flights of stairs to actually get to our room and then another flight of stairs when you open our door, this was exhausting. Typical All Inclusive food. I always expect the same food in every all inclusive so this wasn’t a surprise for me. Food was very repetitive, hardly any fruit and bananas are cut up in quarters. We didn’t eat in the a la cartes but these were meant to be quite good from other guests. Our flight was at midnight so pick up was 9pm. We had read reviews from 1/2 weeks before our stay and they said that they were offered late check out for free. Other reviews had said they were offered €15 per hour. We enquired about a late check out and were told €18 per hour. We ended up leaving it and used the showers in the gym as it would have been too pricey. Think it depends who you speak to at reception as all reviews state different prices. Overall the hotel is lovely. Great size and great pools. I would have liked more stuff going on in the day such as darts or something but on the flip side it’s nice that there’s so reps pestering you by the pool. If the hotel can fix the issue with the amount of falls by the pool that would be amazing.
