The hotel is located behind a rustic Balinese village, where all aspects of traditional rural life can be experienced. It is situated within a short walk of the centre of Ubud that leads guests through the beautiful surrounding rice paddy fields. The Ubud area is the cultural and spiritual heart of Bali. Ubud Market and the Monkey Forest are both roughly 2 km from the hotel, Ubud Palace is around 3 km away and the Ayung River is approximately 5 km away. The hotel is conveniently located only around one hour and 15 minutes' drive from Denpasar International Airport. This resort, offering only 7 private villas, is a perfect place for those looking for peace and tranquillity. Our stay was absolutely fantastic - we enjoyed every second of it! The rooms were very clean and ALWAYS perfectly prepared! The staff is very friendly, especially Choki had our hearts! For day trips we can warmly recommend adi. ~Joe+W+E+L~

We had booked a break in Bali through NetFlights - they always do a good job for us. Our intention was spend most of the time in Nusa Dua; we have been to Nusa Dua before so thought maybe we should spend a few days elsewhere. We decided to stay in Ubud, and Netflights sourced our accommadtion. The property is accessed from the road via a narrow alley - so easy to miss. The arrival is stunning - and open plan reception. Great staff to welcome us and show us to our villa. Breath-taking, so much more than we expected. An afternoon tea is provided, a selection of savouries and sweetmeats. Happy hour follows for 'tow for one' on some cocktails. I lobed the gin fizz and my wife loved their mojito. A really good evening menu is available - all selections very well priced and expertly prepared. The included breakfast always had a great selection - but I always opted for the eggs benedict. We had originally booked sessions in a spa out side the villa complex, but we rebooked to have our treatments onsite. A great decision. I piece of tranquility set within the tropical forest. We were sad to leave - to be honest if we knew how great a place to stay would would have made our trip longer. Fabulous staff, all knew our names. Thanks particularly to I Wayan Sudarma - the Operations Manager. He was always around and checked to see we were enjoying our stay and if there was anything further he could do. I wish I had taken everyone's name so I could say 'thank you' here. You all made our stay vert special.

Unbelievable experience in the Jungle pool unit

Went for a couple of days in the amazing villa and we were very pleasantly surprised by how beautiful was the hotel and our room. The design was incredible and so clean. We very much enjoyed our stay with an amazing staff, specially Choki that made this stay even better by his friendliness. Highly recommend this hotel and we will come back for sure.

A paradise in the centre of Ubud

From the moment you arrive, you feel special. The staff at The Purist could not do enough for us, always caring and recommending places to go and visit. Our villa was a dream, the ability to go from the bed to the swimming pool in 4 steps was incredible. Great breakfast and lovely touch providing afternoon tea to their customers each afternoon. We had dinner on our last night at their restaurant and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back when visiting Ubud, a true paradise where the attention to detail and to its customers make the place unforgettable.
