This was our 3rd year in a row to The Residence in Dhigurah, having visited first in 2023, then 2024…and it was as great as ever. From being met at Malé Airport by Residence Staff, through to the transfer to Koodoo and onto Dhigurah itself, it all went smoothly. Our over-water bungalow on the sunrise side was as amazing as we’d remembered and the staff (who we now count as friends), were as friendly, helpful & awesome as ever in ensuring we had a super experience each day. We just LOVE coming to The Residence at Dhigurah, as it allows us to de-stress, de-compress and re-charge our batteries, in such a heavenly environment. We got to swim with turtles, eagle-rays, and array of tropical fish and some small black-tip reef sharks, which was fantastic…and the weather was amazing (apart from a 30-minute burst of rain, albeit it was hot rain, which I enjoyed the experience of standing in, as it sooooo contrasting to what we get in Scotland as you’ll appreciate). All in all, it was a WONDERFUL holiday again at The Residence, Dhigurah…and our 10 nights there felt like 15, as it’s a slower, more relaxing pace, which my wife & I both needed and thoroughly enjoyed. We’re now out for prices for returning again for our 4th visit, hopefully at the end of September 2026, as we love the island, the staff, the wildlife, the food and the experience so very much. We’d recommend you bring a good underwater camera for your snorkelling adventures, as you’ll get to see some amazing wildlife…and make sure you go see Hazif, Shazly, Walter and their amazing teams at The Dining Room, Sumith, Thong, Nuwan & Co at The Beach Club & Café Del Sol…and Vignesh, Tuhin & Co at Li Bai & Long Island, for some awesome dining experiences.
