I want to recommend Bistro restaurant - it is a fine dining place with delicious food. We were lucky to book twice during our visit - and if we were to go again, we would request Ricardo Torres to serve us. He knows how to present the food and make you feel special.

We loved our stay here, and love how family friendly it is. My kids loved going to the kids club so much! They begged every day to go. Tie dye, keychains, and treasure hunt were some of the fun things they did! Monse, Eve and Angie were so sweet and fun! On our last day there was a huge party with a piñata and so many treats, any kids heaven! Karla, Omar, Walter, and Charly hosted the party and we recommend not missing out on it! Can’t say enough good about the royal sands and the amazing accommodations for the kids.

Royal Sands review

As always, the people of Mexico are always friendly and receptive. We stayed at the Royal Sands resort, we had a number of great servers like Mathias, Jesus and Arturo. The resort was good, very clean and everyone very friendly. The food quality was not what it used to be, I guess they still blaming Covid. For all inclusive, the drink package was very basic. it also lacked evening entertainment. Overall would give 3 1/2 stars.

Disappointed...

The best part of our stay is listening to Jorge Duran, guitarrist, play. Unfortunately, the poor food quality and high price at The Bistro makes it difficult to dine there. The concierge, who is supposed to assist with appts and reservations failed miserably. In order to compensate she was untruthful and gave false information. We are very sad to see such a wonderful 5 star resort diminish in quality progressively over the last 5 years (even the workers seem unhappy).

Beautiful and great food

This hotel is worth returning to! The views are stunning. The beach is beautiful. It's not overly crowded. You can always get a chair by the beach or the pool. The food at the restaurants is really good, room service takes over an hour, drinks are yummy, staff are mostly receptive. You will get better service if you tip!. If you're not a member, they will bring you through the side entrance at arrival, the garden entrance, which is weird instead of the beautiful front entrance. Also you will have to move rooms without notice if someone with a timeshare has your room. That was unexpected. Make sure you check out at the front desk or they won't let you leave!
