Our experience at The Sankara Resort and Spa was unfortunately the worst of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip to Bali. The most frustrating issue was the water — it barely worked throughout our three-night stay. We had to call the front desk multiple times just to get it turned on, and even then, the water pressure was extremely low. A few incidence, we had to use bottled water from the room just to wash ourselves. The spa was also underwhelming. The massage lacked pressure and didn’t feel therapeutic at all, and the water wasn’t working properly there either, which added to the discomfort. Another major issue was the noise. The walls are very thin, so we could hear constant banging from nearby construction and loud music in the evenings, which made it difficult to rest. We’ve never experienced a hotel where water access was this unreliable — it was a major letdown. We wouldn’t recommend this resort based on our experience.
