Checked in at 1 pm (early check-in allowed due to low occupancy)and the process was smooth. We booked one Ocean Room. Let us now move to the review of facilities and my experience ( Rating have been assigned in a Scale of 1 to 5 , 5 being highest):- A. Location : Located at the secluded Ao Nam Mao beach in Murang District Krabi. The location is very secluded and about 3 km from City Centre. There is absolutely nothing near and you need to eat all your meals at the hotel restaurant. Hotel arranges paid airport pick up on request and also have free shuttle to anx from City thrice a day. You get complete solace and exclusive use of the beach. (Rating 4.5). B. Room :  Our room in 1st floor of Block 3 was of about 464 square feet size , extremely furnished, with a king sized bed,  cloth storage area, Flat screen TV , small sitting area with coffee table . Bed was slightly on the harder side, comfy with linens . The room had wood vinyl flooring and clean and have all amenities that you expect in a star property viz. tea making facility, refrigerator, minibar, slippers, safe etc. Adequate bottles of water are provided and tea and coffee pouches replaced every day. Toilet was the real attraction with a seperate shower enclosure with bath tub overview good the sea. There is a dressing area and toilet enclosure . Toilet is fitted with sanitary fitings of top quality with hot and cold water. Toileteries like dental kit, shampoo, body wash and body lotion were provided. Towels were rightly soft. Quality of toileteries are of good quality. Room had good air conditioning. Our room had a sea facing balcony. The room had very good wifi connection. During our stay, there were frequent power disruptions while it was raining, though the power back up started immediately. (Rating 4.5) C. Facilities : The hotel has all facilities that you expect in a star resort. The property is well spread out with large green lawn all around. Rooms are located in separate blocks well spread out.The lobby and reception area is large with classical decor with matching artefacts all around. The hotel has business centre, laundry and ironing service, restaurant, fully stocked bar, spa and wellness centre, outdoor swimming pool and cocierge service, tour service, game room etc. Room service is available upto 11 pm. (Rating 5) D. Dining options: The hotel has limited dining options. Only one restaurant 'Cerulean' serves all dining options including buffet breakfast. There is a pool side resto bar Fin Bar serving the same menu. We had our daily breakfast and all meals here. Food menu is limited and is not upto the standard though the breakfast buffet spread was elaborate. However, a hotel of it's standard should've more specialiry restaurants. (Rating 3.5). E. Overall service : The hotel has very well behaved, extremely polite and service oriented team of staff at the reception and also at its housekeeping. All our needs were met with smile and everybody were ready to help. Communication is a problem area since most of its staff are not very well versed in English. (Rating 4). F. Suggested improvements:- 1. The resort being extremely secluded, frequency of shuttle should be mors frequent; 2. Hotel of it's standard should have more dining options with more elaborate choice of menu.   The huge open greenery , great location and extremely service oriented team of staffs are some of the major positives of this property. Great option to stay in Krabi, if you love a quiet holiday. If you are fun loving type, this is not the right place for you (OVERALL RATING 4)

The homepage of ShellSea creates a lot of expectations. And my review comes from a paying guest (not from a partly/fully sponsored influencer). The resort (hardware) in total is absolutely lovely and matches expectations. Minor glitches like a faulty aircondition are solved immediately (room change). Major downside is the Food & Beverage area where marketing from the homepage doesn‘t fit reality… Example 1: According to their homepage, „premium wines & champagne“ are available. Reality: no premium wines, only low to mid level wines (easy comparison to grocery store prices around the globe). Some of them not even available - which took the staff a long time to figure out (while we waited forever). No proper Champagne (only one low-level version which is sold with factor 4,5 = Grocery price 25 Euro / Sales price at the resort 120 Euro). And even this one was out of stock after 2 bottles. Example 2: In-room-dining (incl. breakfast) - in theory available. In real life it‘s complicated as there‘s no menu (or QR code) in the room. And the staff answering your call are very difficult to understand (even for me being used to various spoken versions of english including indian). On top, the in-room dining menu from the homepage shows outdated prices. Example 3: Lunch at one of the restaurants. Half of the drinks order (supporting the food) was forgotten. When finally delivered, it wasn‘t what we initially ordered. Example 4: Dinner at several of their restaurants. The menu in general is relatively boring and isn‘t fitting to the quality-level of the resort. And even a basic Tomato-soup can be out of stock. Honestly? It was available next day for breakfast… Most crucial point is the „no-clue“-attitude of many staff-members within F&B (as they haven‘t been trained properly and are also not even remotely fluent in english) Just being nice and having a constant smile isn‘t sufficient for 5* Overall, the fantastic „hardware“ is slightly ruined by the partly untrained staff in and organization of the F&B area. Staff at Reception, Pool etc. have been absolutely lovely and delivered flawlessly. I already booked my next stay, let‘s see if the F&B deficiencies have been resolved until then…

Amazing Resort ! ,Huge The Staff And So Nice. and Kind The Place Is very Clean They Have 2 Big Pools ! The Breakfast In the Morning is Very Good ! the pools are Very clean Not a Single Leaf or Dirt ! Absolutely Incredible . 5 Stars ! this Place Is Like Heaven !
