The Tamarind Resort - Nusa Lembongan

Apologies to Wishnu & the staff I thought I had posted something many months ago. For starters the service is insanely good, bordering on decadent, I felt half guilty about the manner in which we were looked after by everyone at the Tamarind and they couldn’t be more helpful. If you want to go somewhere they can organise transport, directions, what to see, if you want to eat somewhere they can book ahead and arrange transport to and from restaurants. The resort organises transport and for the most part unless otherwise instructed the transports cost are just added to your bill and settled when you check out and they’re amazingly cheap. We like to walk but it’s very warm and the street are bustling and narrow so if you’re going any distance it’s worthwhile taking advantage of the readily available transportation. The people at the Tamarind are so kind and courteous I went there with my extremely active and healthy but elderly Mum and she absolutely loved it, the rooms are beautiful, the views spectacular the resort is beautifully and lovingly designed just take the carved stone steps carefully if it’s wet, the pools are beautiful and we had an amazing holiday. When my mum was tired we took it a bit easier for a day or so just lounging around at the resort itself before again exploring the area during the last few days of our 12 day holiday. Again I cannot speak highly enough of the resort, its facilities and most importantly the staff, truly an amazing experience that I couldn’t recommend more highly.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tamarind. The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. The pools were beautiful with a special view from the rooftop infinity pool. The room was clean but my only minor criticism is I thought the rooms needed a deep clean but this didn’t affect our stay.

Stayed 3 nights in a Pavana room which was great..with fabulous views of Mt Agung north facing and around to the ocean facing the breaking waves and boats. The restaurant was excellent for both all day dining and breakfast. The hotel is nicely placed at one end of the Main Street of Lembongan. Thoroughly recommend.

We’ve just left the hotel after an amazing 4 nights. The hotel is fantastic, the pools are stunning and the staff are outstanding. We were in a villa which was huge. with stunning views. The hotel is very steep though with a lot of steps so not suited to anyone who struggles with walking. It’s located a 5 - 10 min walk to a great beach. The staff were all fabulous. Putu , Harry & the lady in the restaurant (sorry I can’t remember your name) in particular were so attentive. They went out of their way to learn our families names, making it such a personal experience. My son was ill when we were there & was rushed to hospital. The staff couldn’t have been any more helpful, honestly fabulous. If you stay anywhere in Nusa Lembongan stay here, you won’t be disappointed.

I recently stayed at The Tamarind Resort as a solo traveler. This charming, older-style hotel is set on the hillside just above Jungut Batu Beach and is wonderfully maintained. The infinity pool and restaurant are ideally positioned to take in the breathtaking views, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were professional, efficient, and friendly with Harry standing out for his warm and friendly manner and extremely attentive service. The restaurant food was excellent, both in quantity and presentation. I stayed in the Pavana Premier Room, which was beautifully appointed and very spacious, featuring a large balcony with breathtaking views. The room was spotlessly clean, well maintained throughout my stay, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. I really appreciated the hotel’s location, as it allowed me to easily walk to the beach, restaurants, and cafés without needing a scooter. The Tamarind Resort is certainly one of the more expensive options on the island, and I did question the value for money, but overall I had a very enjoyable stay
