A touch of paradise

So where do I start with this review. Let’s start with WOW the place is amazing. Security checks before entering the resort are good. As soon as we walked through to reception we were greeted with an amazing sea view. The reception staff were very pleasant informing us where we were staying. The Ambar Villa. Upon walking into the villa we were warmly greeted by our villa butler, Edi, he was so warm and kind. Through out our stay Edi was very helpful, working tirelessly. No task was too much and he carried out every request with a smile on his face. Thank you Edi Rediawan for all you did for our group during our stay. The resort is so lucky to have an employee like you. The villa was very clean due to being serviced twice daily. The villa has an amazing layout with a large dining/lounging area. Just be aware you are located near forest and there are monkeys about. Our showers were located outside therefore you might encounter nature. Ants,frogs, monkeys etc. The hot/cold water needed a little tweaking to get the temperature just right which can be frustrating. Breakfast was amazing too. Lots of choice and everything was delicious. Thoroughly recommend this place.

#1 Property in Bali — Best Staff on Earth

We have stayed at many high end hotels around the world, including the neighboring Kempinski Apurva but the Ungasan Clifftop Resort was our absolute favorite. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, as well as the Chintamani Oceanfront Pool villa — if you are lucky enough to find availability. The room is astounding, the views are unmatched and the privacy is excellent. Having Sundays beach club, arguably the best in all of Bali, right at your resort with priority seating is also completely unbeatable and made for many many enjoyable days sitting by the ocean for hours on end. I could go on forever about how beautiful the property is, but the people and the service are really what make it the best. Everyone knew who we were, where we’re going and what we were doing that day. The best of all were our three assistants — Wis, Yunita and Hendra, who felt more like great friends than staff. They would respond to anything we needed immediately and seemed to always be where we needed to give us rides around the property or assist with bookings and in room service. They truly made us feel at home and we never wanted to leave. We stayed 7 nights and could have stayed 30 more. We will see you guys again soon! Chris & Kate
