The unique and luxurious Timedrops Santorini holiday villas consist of a cluster of six traditional houses in the town of Emporio in Santorini.  The stone-built villas date from the early 20th century and have been carefully restored using traditional and eco-friendly techniques and preserving many original features.  Each enchanting villa has a name inspired by a particular time period in the island's history, and is furnished with treasured, handmade pieces.  Guests can choose from the Cycladic, Volcano, Byzantine, Venetian, Pirate and Thira villa, each offering  views of the Aegean Sea, and a range of modern amenities such free internet access.  Visitors might explore the narrow stone pathways of the town's castle and settlement and enjoy a drink in the traditional café, then return to the villa for an authentic Greek meal prepared with local, organic ingredients and accompanied by live music or poetry reading.

Wonderful, authentic, Timedrops

Timedrops was amazing. Authentic and full of character in a little village away from the hustle and bustle of the main towns and cruise ship visitors. The rooms are set within the castle area of Emporeio so you get a real feel of what the traditional places are like. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. The pool was refreshing and sparkling. Nicholas, the manager, is very helpful and booked our transfers, boat trip and rental car for us. The steps are quite steep so elderly, very young or less able may struggle. We had a fantastic time and would recommend Timedrops to anyone wanting a quiet, comfortable stay away from the main towns

Beautiful place to stay

What a stunning villa we had, this place a is a hidden treasure and such a lovely area to explore with little hidden restaurants / shops a small walk away. The owner checked us in with a very helpful friendly explanation of the villa and things to do in the area. He also upgraded us to the largest villa, gave us a very welcomed cold drink on arrival. Hands down the best place to stay for some much needed R&R. Felt very spoiled.

Lovely stay in local village with kind host

We spent 1 week in this beautiful village back in October. The Villa had a beautiful private pool, was well located within a small village, had private parking, and a wonderful host (Nikos). We enjoyed being away from the crowds of Oia/ Fira, and instead enjoy the proximity to local wine villages and the stunning volcanic beaches of Perissa. The Lidl supermarket was 10min drive away, we loved our stay and had a wonderful holiday.

Nice apartments, historic building, part of a castle complex

Nice apartment with a lovely terrace and plunge pool. Plenty big enough for the four of us. Only complaint is some things didn't work such as the kettle and one of the bedside lights. So they hadn't been checked recently. The hot water was also a bit hit and miss. Sometimes there wasn't any for a day or two. The apartments were nicely designed and in part of the old castle complex. It was lovely exploring there in the evening. Lots of narrow windy alleyways. 10 mins from shops. The road to the site is very narrow and the complex is best avoided if you struggle on steep steps.

Lovely villas in the wrong area.

We stayed at Timedrops for 4 nights. The villa was lovely and clean. We had water, juice and waffles left for us. Niko was very friendly and helpful though check in was lengthy. The pool was absolutely freezing and had flies and bugs floating in it. Could do with a net so guests can fish them out! We were unable to use it. It’s a shame where these villas are situated as the area of Emporio is not very nice. Lots of derelict unused buildings,streets covered in dog and cat poo. After dark we stayed in as didnt feel safe. Dogs coming at you barking and growling. Local restaurants not nice. We walked to Perissa beach(took around 30 mins). Lovely beaches with lots of food choices. Take the bus to Fira, book a table and watch the beautiful sunset. If we ever visit this island again we would stay in Fira or Oia.

Timedrops Santorini is a cluster of 5 traditional luxurious houses each one with a private pool with Jacuzzi and terrace, located at the preserved settlement of Emporio village in Santorini. The name of each house is inspired from a significant period (time drop) in the history of Santorini. Occupying a privileged location at the east side of the settlement's hill, the villas offer serenity and relaxation in an authentic environment untouched by the mass tourism. The houses are situated next to each other on uneven levels occupying the slope of a hill, offering panoramic views of the preserved settlement (Kasteli) and the sea. The five stone built houses, dating from the early 20th century, have been fully renovated and restored during the last 17 years paying attention to detail and following the traditional unique techniques of the local craftsmen. A great effort has been put in preserving the architectural lines, as well as many original elements of the houses, in order to create an authentic accommodation experience for our Guests. Each element has its own history, origin and date of construction. The cluster follows an eco-friendly character using construction materials that are environmentally friendly, as well uses traditional air-conditioning systems, bins for recycling and has to propose a list of creative activities based on alternative tourism where the guests can experience the real side of Santorini. Timedrops has managed to capture moments from the rich history and the unique spirit of Santorini Island. With respect to the culture, the tradition and the environment Timedrops Santorini wish to transmit to its guests these > so as their accommodation acquire an intense aroma of each period of Santorini. It is worth mentioning, that the 5th house of the cluster is specially designed to accommodate people with disabilities, so as to offer them the possibility to enjoy beautiful holidays in Santorini.
