The hotel is advertised as 5*, but in reality it feels closer to a 3.5*. On the positive side, the reception, rooms, restaurant, pool and bar area were all very clean, though the toilets by the pool could use more attention. The food in the main restaurant was typical all-inclusive—fairly standard—but it was tasty and we always found something to eat. The snack bar food was often cold, and the patisserie was never open during our stay, which was disappointing. The hotel is also advertised as "ultra all-inclusive 24 hour food and drink," but we saw no evidence of this and weren’t told where to go for food after 9pm if we wanted something. Entertainment was by far the weakest part of the experience. Two nights of karaoke listening to drunk guests sing badly was not what I’d call entertainment. The entertainment crew themselves came across as rude and dismissive, which didn’t help. There’s no waiter service for drinks, which I would expect in a 5* hotel (and have had elsewhere). You need to queue at the bar every time. On the brighter side, housekeeping were excellent throughout our stay. The location is also good, with a nearby bazaar that has plenty of shopping options and easy transport links to other areas. Overall, it’s not a terrible hotel, but definitely not 5* as advertised.
