Hotel is a bit outdated. It is not a place for young couples. The entertainment was average. Food was good but not excellent. Would not recommend if you are after fancy couples holiday. Good for kids and elderly people.

A Truly Memorable Holiday.

Stayed 12 nights over the end of October/early November. The hotel is located at the eastern end of the Lara Beach area so is slightly remote from any shopping malls and the like but there is a regular bus service with a stop outside the hotel which is cheap as chips or you could take a taxi and, either way, be there in 10 minutes. The hotel and its precincts is fantastic. The lobby area is huge but laid out in such a way that it is still intimate and the staff there are attentive, warm and friendly. The decor is superb and it’s obvious that nothing was left to chance in the interior design. Our room was comfortable with a side view over the river and sea and our room was kept immaculate by the staff dealing with that aspect of our stay. There are great facilities for kids from the water park to other sporting stuff. We are an elderly couple so didn’t use these but we never felt overwhelmed by children doing their thing, in fact it was nice to see them enjoying themselves. There was never a problem with noise. The pool area and beach is great, plenty loungers and the pier is really nice where you can dive into the sea directly and, of course, there is a bar there. The quality and selection available of food is the best we have experienced and there are a selection of food/bar areas throughout the site to snack at. We ate at the Italian a la carte restaurant for a Birthday celebration and were made to feel so welcome, and the food was fantastic - thanks to the staff there. We thought the holiday was great value for money at the time we went and we were lucky to have good weather too. Without doubt this was a great experience and I’d recommend this hotel without any reservations at all. Well, maybe one, if it’s been raining, the padding on the loungers at the poolside are like sponges and you can get a damp backside🤔 but there are some loungers around the restaurant building with just webbing on them that are every bit as comfortable with your towels which are readily available😃, and it was always quiet there.
