My husband and I just returned from our second trip to Traveller’s this year (first in February, then July 2025)- so obviously, we love this place! Originally came here with my husband’s parents, who have been coming to travellers for years. Pretty length review, but my husband and I can’t say enough positive things about it. Also hoping to let the owners know how wonderful their staff is! The beach/resort: Absolutely gorgeous, and the water pristine- perfect for a swim or floating with a drink! There are plenty of beach loungers with umbrellas for all the guests. The guys on the beach (security and lifeguards) were always smiling and ready to set things up in the mornings. Special shoutout to Andray and Tucker who went above and beyond every day, getting our favorite spot set up before we even came down from breakfast. We were especially impressed that Andray immediately remembered us from our first trip! He is quite a worker- and was always checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. These guys honestly became my husband’s buddies by the end of this trip. Overall the grounds around the resort are well maintained and gorgeous with all the plants and wildlife (especially the cats!) The food: EXCELLENT! Staying in Negril and on 7 mile beach, there are endless options for food. We did our best to try new restaurants, but always found ourself comparing the food to Traveller’s. Food always came out hot, nice presentation and of course delicious. Some of our favorites included the curry chicken, coconut shrimp, and fish wraps (among MANY). The waiters and waitresses are so friendly and consistently got our orders right :) All were amazing, but Stephan and Antoinette were especially exceptional and quick to make us feel at home. Stephan is such a fun guy and would go above and beyond, even taking drink orders from us down on the beach. Antoinette is the sweetest woman and quickly learned my husband’s usual breakfast order lol! The bar: Delicious drinks all around- so many yummy options. All of the bartenders are such fun guys and kept the party going throughout the week. Some of our favorites were the dirty papaya, Pina colada and purple rain. Names starting with an R must be a prerequisite for the job lol! We were impressed with how quickly they made all the drinks when the bar was packed- those guys are hard workers! The room: Housekeeping did a wonderful job of keeping our room clean throughout the trip. Being on a beach, we were constantly dragging sand into our room despite our best efforts not to. I always looked forward to having our room cleaned, as the floors were always pristine after. Never had any issues with bugs either, which can be rare in the Caribbean. It’s also nice to have new linens and rooms cleaned daily. So many hotels have stopped doing that, unless you specifically request it, which can be annoying at times. Maintenance was amazing and quick to resolve any issues that came up. We had an air conditioner which began leaking onto the bed- they had it fixed immediately while were at dinner, so we didn’t have to worry about it. AND they remade the bed with fresh, dry bedding without having to mention it to them. Front desk/check in: I wish I could remember the name of the woman working the front desk when we checked in/the next day (evening of July 26th), as she was amazing! We had a long travel day of MANY flight delays and lost luggage. She went above and beyond for us working to get ahold of the airport to ensure our luggage got to the resort. She would check in with us throughout the day until it got to Travellers to keep us updated. This was so refreshing after getting no help/response from the airline company! They also provide welcome drinks and take your luggage to your room which is an added bonus. Other feedback: We have next to nothing “negative” to say, but little things we have noticed after visiting 2 times. And frankly, these are things entirely out of the staff’s control so I hesitate to even comment on it: 1. There are a lot of very slick surfaces around the resort. Our shower/shower door this trip would leak to the point there’d be a puddle of water running from the bathroom into the main area. We had a few close calls but eventually learned to request more towels to put down before showering. My husband also had a couple slips on the porch to our room when it would rain. We are young and nimble, so I imagine this might be a bigger problem for older individuals. Could be nice to add some nonslip mats in the bathrooms and entries/steps to the rooms. 2. Sometimes the surrounding restaurants/bars play loud music which isn’t always kid-friendly. It’s not overwhelming, just something to note in case you are expecting a super quiet beach. 3. If you are coming during the wet season, sometimes the river run-off will reach the beach later in the afternoon, turning the water a brown-ish color. Not a big deal, still safe to swim in, but we were not expecting this. It seemed like most guests were also surprised by this, so might be something guests could be informed about upon check in- to ease their minds and prevent staff from being asked about it so frequently. 4. People tend to scatter in the afternoon when the rain rolls around (during the wet season). It seems like a missed opportunity for the resort to keep people on site. My husband and I were talking about how cool it would be for Travellers to have activities you could purchase, like a drink-making or cooking class…. Maybe a drink tasting! So many options🤔 SO many amazing things about Travellers, but the best part is by far the staff. Every person went above and beyond, and made us feel like family and right at home. It really seems like the employees enjoy being around each other, and the work they do. Wish we could name every single employee individually, as they set Travellers apart from every other resort! Thank you all for making these last two trips so amazing. We are looking forward to our next trip back, hopefully soon!
