Tropicana Hotel

First and foremost the hotel is stunning. The setting is beautiful. It’s designed in the style of a Greek village with white washed walls and exposed stone, alleyways and narrow steps. We couldn’t get enough of how pretty it was. Breakfast is worth the 30EUR per person hands down. Probably the most luxurious breakfast we have had at a hotel. The room (we had a Junior suite with a private pool and large terrace with sea views) was immaculate and overall comfortable. Housekeeping was one of the best we have ever experienced - even the terrace got washed every day!!! Customer service overall was top notch - I remember reading an earlier review saying staff were expecting tips all of the time. That is nonsense. Not once have we felt we needed to tip!!! Now the slightest niggles: we could hear music up and until 2am even with earplugs. So if you are a light sleeper, you won’t get a quiet night. The room had NO desk or table. There was a tiny coffee table type table tailgate fitted a couple of bottles of water and that’s it. And bedside tables. But nowhere to put things like sunglasses, handbags, watches, drinks, etc. There was also no shelves storage - just a long low level bench style shelf under the open air hanging space. It would have been nice not to have all the clothes and stuff in your sight all the time. The bathroom was tiny. Again with NO worktop space or vanity. So all your toiletries and make up had to stay in a bag in a suitcase because there was literally nowhere to put it. The beach by the hotel is probably one of our least favourite. First of all despite what previous reviews state beach club lounges are not included in the price of the hotel and are around 80EUR each for the day. Secondly the coral reef/sharp rocks are really close to the shore and me and several other cut our feet really badly. Most other beaches on the island are much nicer. So if beach is one of the main reasons for you, I would avoid this hotel. Finally, the hotel consists of 2 sections which are set relatively far away from each other and on a very steep hill. Whilst transfer cars are available all the time, it is something to consider because should you go up to the infinity pools and forget something in your room, it’s a 20-30 minute back and forth waiting for the cars etc. not a big deal but something to bear in mind. The hotel being a 7 minute walk from Cavo Paradiso was an absolute pleasure so from that point of view it was amazing!!!

From the receptionist to the drivers and waitstaff, the service at this hotel was outstanding. The staff’s professionalism and warm hospitality truly enhanced our stay and made the entire experience exceptional. We will certainly be returning to this hotel. Although we missed the breakfast buffet, we consistently heard excellent feedback about it from other guests. The Tropicana Beach Club tends to attract a younger crowd. For those seeking a different atmosphere, Cavo Paradiso is an excellent choice—the music and DJ were phenomenal during our visit, and the venue is conveniently just a two-minute walk from the hotel. Scorpio is another highly recommended club worth experiencing as well. Overall, our time in Mykonos was fantastic. On future visits, we will be staying exclusively at Tropicana Hotel, thanks to its remarkable staff.

We came to Tropicana Mykonos after a year of unimaginable challenges—my husband’s kidney transplant and our daughter’s brave act of donating hers, only to discover it had cancer. We walked through it all as a family. Alex planned this trip, and though the staff had no idea of our story, they wrapped us in care from the moment we arrived. We never touched a bag. The rooms were immaculate. The service—boutique, personal, and truly divine. Every detail was handled with love. The entire team radiates excellence and hospitality. This place carries the favor of God. To anyone considering a stay—go. Take your family. Feel what it’s like to be genuinely seen and cared for. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone at Tropicana. You made us feel whole again.i'm grateful!! 😢

The Tropicana was the best! The rooms and the staff! The pools Are beautiful and loved having a hottub on the balcony. Drinks and food very reasonable. Everyone made sure that you were enjoying. Loved it! When we go back to Mykonos would definitely stay here again. Took the transportation to and from the port and it was excellent!
