Absolutely our favorite hotel.

There are few times we simply don’t leave the resort - we stayed here day after day in total bliss. Running to the beach to see the seals, enjoying top notch service at every restaurant and our lounge spots at the pool and beach, wonderful entertainment plus pool tables and fire pits…and the views! We loved it all. The food is wonderful. Note: Breakfasts are pricey! Nothing we did not like during our stay. Highest recommendation.

As a very frequent visitor to Hawaii, this was our first stay at Turtle Bay Ritz Carlton. This property, obviously, is a stand alone on the North Shore. Nothing else even comes close. The views from just about anywhere captures your soul. Cannot say enough about the staff. They are all well trained, friendly and helpful. How they remember your names is special. We were there with my daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren. You guessed it, there are so many things to do for everyone. Golf, horseback riding and many other things are so close and only a very quick golf cart ride away. Very, very convenient. Lei making, snorkeling and surfing is available at the resort. Lots of carefully selected Hawaiian culture was everywhere. Club room was special. Awesome food, drinks and views. As a person who has visited all the Hawaiian Islands over 42 years this is one of those rare places that has it all.

Great Stay at Turtle Bay

Cannot say enough good things about our stay at Turtle Bay. On our first night, I found out we or someone else had grabbed the wrong suitcase and I was without my belongings. Without asking for it, housekeeping sent up toiletries and offer to wash what little clothing I had with me free of charge when mentioned it in passing. Can’t tell you how much this kindness meant to me. Aside from this, the room, location and the service are amazing. We are now in Maui at a different Marriott property and I miss Turtle Bay and the North Shore desperately.

Very Nice Bungalows in an otherwise Large Hotel

We stayed in the Bungalows which are oceanfront. We had a room with the bed facing the ocean (some rooms have beds perpendicular to the ocean so, request a room with t he bed facing the ocean. The sunsets are to die for. The Bungalow pool was nice too. We had a very nice Bungalow host (I think her name was Roxane) who was so helpful all the time. The North Island is out of the way-you should rent a car. Also, we didn’t love the breakfast up at the hotel (one of the only things we didn’t like, other than the valet giving us the wrong car). The Hotel restaurant had a busboy on his first day be a better employee than the waitress assigned to us. He needs a promotion. We had him in his first day! The Hotel pool is good for families.

Beautiful Hotel and Grounds & Great Stay for Palm Tree Fest (Just Bring a Snack for Late Night!)

We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Turtle Bay in an oceanfront room with club lounge access during the Palm Tree Music Festival in May 2025. As Titanium Bonvoy members, my husband and I travel a lot — and this property definitely has the wow factor (especially considering the views and resort grounds). The view from the room was spectacular. The vibe at the pool during the day was next-level as we hung out with our friends: live DJ, young fun crowd, great energy but still felt elevated and not chaotic. Plus we met a bunch of the DJs and musicians at the pool. And the fact that we could just walk over to the festival later in the day? Huge plus. The club lounge was solid — good drinks, snacks, food, and service. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. Only drawback? Late-night food. After getting back from the festival (past midnight both nights), we were starving — and surprised to find there was no hot room service available overnight. The room service menu did say sandwiches were available 24/7, but when I called down, they told me I had to go to the coffee area to pick them up. The catch? The coffee area was closed. No sandwiches in sight. Ended up stumbling onto a food truck parked outside the hotel (not affiliated), which saved us — but at this level of hotel, there should be at least something hot and available for guests after hours. All in all, we’d stay here again in a heartbeat (already booked for next year's festival) — just maybe stash a snack for the late-night munchies.
