ANTS,UNSANITARY,UNPROFESSIONAL Upon arrival, our first room had ants throughout the space. When I reported this, I was told we could temporarily move rooms for the night but would need to return to the original room the following day. I asked how they plan to clean the bugs out in such a short time and overnight. I was then told the manager would discuss possibly relocating us to another hotel for the second night stay. The replacement room was not properly cleaned—there were wet, used towels on the floor, food and dirt on the counters, and no soap provided . After notifying the front desk, a staff member briefly wiped down the counter but no thorough cleaning was completed. We requested housekeeping service while we were out, but upon returning, the room remained largely unclean and still had no soap or towels and clearly the shower was not cleaned. Upon our final interaction that night with front desk staff he stated we would be staying in that room the second night and they would have the other guests that were suppose to come in the next day go to their other hotel so we didn’t have to move AGAIN. The following morning, we were unexpectedly told by housekeeping to check out. At the front desk, I was informed the room had another guest going there at 3pm, despite my confirmed two-night booking and numerous discussions with staff. I requested to speak with a manager regarding both the situation and compensation but was initially dismissed. After visiting the desk 3x and telling staff I had an event 12-5 and had to have an answer immediately to know where I was staying so I can pack again, I was finally able to over the phone be told by manager I could move to another hotel owned by the same company, which I declined due to the experience. I asked for a refund so I could find a new hotel and enjoy the rest of my vacation without worry. I was then advised that a refund would be processed through Expedia and verbally assured it would be approved. However, I was later notified that the refund request was denied, despite not staying the second night and the issues encountered during my stay.
