Paradise 🏖️

31 Mar 2026
Paradise at its best 🏖️ we’ve had an amazing week at the Veranda Paul Et Virginie Hotel & Spa. We arrived to stunning views and a welcoming drink from the courteous staff who gave us a drink of our choice. I had previously paid by email with a link to upgrade our room as we had comfort room booked with BA but we wanted a larger room and we certainly wasn’t disappointed our room looked over the pool and had a stunning sea view. The room was absolutely spotless it was cleaned each day with beautiful towel creations on the bed each day by the lovely staff and the towels were changed twice daily if requested. We spent all our lunchtimes in what we called the beach restaurant Le Saint Geran you could choose a different daily lunch option on the AI or you could choose the permanent delicious choices either way we always enjoyed everything we ate. We never had dinner much as was still full from lunch but when we did on a couple of occasions there was lots of delicious choices Compliments to all the kitchen staff and chefs who go out of their way to create such tasty food. The lovely friendly Asha made beautiful pancakes my favourite afternoon treat next to the bar. The Bar staff there are so many to thank but our favourites were Seetha one of the waitresses who is a lovely lady full of joy in her job and Awmee who always looked after us so well but as did the other staff so many to mention each one. This is our 2nd time in Mauritius and we found this hotel that the staff were more personal they were always going out of their way to help make your day better. We were all inclusive and although some things are chargeable we spent a whole week without putting anything on our bill so for us we had everything we wished for and didn’t pay any more money for anything. Everything that you had to pay for is very clear on food menus and bar menus and we found there was no need to pay but some people were happy to do it so that depends on each individual as to what choices they make. We didn’t feel the need to go out of the hotel apart from beautiful short walks along the stunning beach we spent hours swimming and using the free facilities of paddle boarding canoes etc. In the evening we found the entertainment very good with local singers and 1 night we had the Mauritian dancers who got everyone in the mood to dance afterwards. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will start saving to come back. Thanks to all the amazing staff it’s so nice to see everyone happy and content in their jobs Mauritian people really are so welcoming don’t hesitate to book the hotel 🇲🇺 🏖️👏

Lovely small adult only hotel

31 Mar 2026
We’ve just returned after our second stay at this lovely hotel. There are only 81 rooms so you get a very personal service. All the staff are wonderful- the receptionists were always helpful with any query, the waiters and waitresses are smiling and efficient, the cleaning staff were always polite and do a great job. The food is excellent- a huge choice of freshly cooked food at breakfast and dinner and the lunch menu in the bar is delicious. The all inclusive drinks are also very good with very drinkable wine and decent cocktails. The rooms are very comfortable with a large bed and they all have sea views. The setting of the hotel is beautiful but the sea isn’t great for snorkelling as it’s very sandy and a bit murky. We went on the catamaran trip booked through reception which was a great day out and very good value for money with a marvellous bbq lunch cooked on the boat. I also had a very enjoyable massage in the spa done by Aurora.

Tripadvisor Overview

A romantic adults-only retreat in Grand Gaube, Mauritius. Nestled in the charming fishing village of Grand Gaube on the island’s northeast coast, Veranda Paul & Virginie Hotel & Spa is a 4-star boutique hideaway designed for couples to reconnect. Every space faces the turquoise lagoon and northern islets, offering tranquility and breathtaking sea views. Two infinity pools, a private beach, and a range of experiences — catamaran cruises, sunset dinners, duo massages — make this the perfect setting for love and serenity. Dine at Le Saint Géran, perched above the water, or at La Belle Vue, where Mauritian flavours meet ocean breezes. Blending Creole architecture with soft contemporary tones, the hotel embodies the gentle rhythm of island life — intimate, authentic, and timeless.
