Food was average. Restaurants terrible. Coffee shocking. Room comfortable. Housekeeping deep cleaned the room quickly after I reported cockroaches in the bathroom. Roy the house cleaner in 255 & 256 was exceptional. Polite, friendly & efficient.

Really close to being amazing

A beautiful resort to spend the second half of our honeymoon on an equally beautiful island. The buffet was great with lots of options and the other restaurants weren't bad, although probably not what you’d expect from a resort of this nature. Having said that the service from everyone working here was 5* and Sanjeev, one of the bagagier's, deserves a special mention for helping me book a couple of rounds of golf. He made the whole process so easy and put a relatively new golfer at ease. The drawback, and it’s not small (particularly if you’re considering a stay in the Victoria for 2 part of the hotel - the area of the hotel reserved for adults and meant to promote a more relaxed atmosphere) was that you’re very close to a local park which was extremely noisy at night. Although this only happened once or twice it really took away from what was a really relaxing resort. We’re not just talking laughing and chatting and a small bit of music, it was full blown bass you could feel through the walls on 2 nights out of 7 we stayed. On the Saturday it went on until 1am with multiple guests (incl. us) raising the issue with reception over an hour or two before this time. Despite having hotel security they had to rely on the police to resolve the problem. If the food was slightly better, or there wasn’t a noise problem, it would have easily been a 4/5 but for the price we expected a little more.
