Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & SPA

Eric (Dos Sparro) the pool side waiter was excellent. Restaurants were great and the grounds were kept immaculate. It was windy the whole week but still plenty to do on the property. We would definitely come back. Highly recommend Villa Del Palmar

We traveled with 22 friends for spring break. 10 adults and 12 kids. We were worried the trip was going to be stressful, but it was the exact opposite. The kids hung out together and kept themselves busy all day. We had ages starting at 6 and ending at 14. The resort is a perfect place to let the kids have some freedom and feel safe. We spent all day by the pool and tried every restaurant for dinner. There is a steak house, Italian, Mexican, a buffet, and a sports bar onsite. We stayed an extra day and tried out the sports bar, It was actually much better than we anticipated. Amr took care of us, making the last day very memorable. They had American food, but also Japanese food that was really good. We had a lot of wonderful people who took care of us on this trip. At the pool we loved Enrique so much that we moved several times just to be in his section. Raul, Wilbert,, David, and Carlos (bartender) also did a great job taking care of us. Alejandra and Nubia were our concierges and they helped us everyday. There is also a ferry right next to the resort that can take you to Isla Mujeres. North beach is one of the nicest in the world. Driving a golf cart around there was a lot of fun too. It would have been nice to have a few more seats around the pool. They do have pool butlers (Jorge, Angel, & Kevin) who were busy brining and finding more chairs for anyone who needed them.

This was our second year in a row of staying at Villa Del Palmer in Cancun. We are members of the vacation club and have owned with the Villas for 25 years. We arrived early before check in time at 1 PM. We are hoping to be able to get a villa with a view of the ocean as well as early check-in. We got nether. We had both our own villa and also rented a villa from an owner. Our rental Villa was on the first behind the spa so we could not see the ocean at all. It was a "hospitality" villa. Our actual villa that we reserved through the club had occupants still using it. We were eventually given a villa on the third floor, which had a better view, but all throughout our stay we heard from other first time visitors who were not owners that they had much better Villa selections and views than we got as owners. An even more concerning issue was the fact that the water in all of our faucets, smelled like a combination of sewer gas and petroleum. We had maintenance come on two separate occasions to try to assess and fix the problem to no avail. We kept asking at the front desk, if we could switch to another villa and we were told day after day that they were full. Eventually, we just gave up. There are many positive features at the resort. We enjoyed some delicious meals at the restaurants and also enjoyed the activities, including yoga and water aerobics. All of the staff around the resort were very friendly, but the member's concierge gave us no attention once we had gone to the owners' sales meeting. The ability to get chairs around the pool or on the beach is very difficult as most of them are taken by 6 AM. This is a known issue yet the resort does nothing about the patrons that tip the pool staff to reserve chairs for them or to prevent people from reserving chairs early in the morning without being present by putting their belongs and towels in the chairs. It is unfortunate that a resort that was once utilized primarily by timeshare owners caters more to 70% of the visitors that are using it through online "hotel " reservations.

Our extended family of 6 adults and 1 toddler had a wonderful vacation at VDP. We loved our 3 bedroom oceanfront residence. Each large bedroom had balcony access, an ocean view, and a luxury bathroom. The enormous residence and huge balcony gave us a great place to relax together. Our butlers, Santiago and Octivio were extremely helpful. We had access to the elite infinity pool that overlooks the ocean. Jared and his staff took great care of us. We were lucky that we could reserve our spot the day before so we didn't need to play the morning towel game. We were able to find beach chairs later in the day when we wanted to sit on the beach. Food and beverage service at the pool was wonderful also. It was windy during our stay, so there was sea grass in the ocean, but the staff did a good job of cleaning it up. VDP is a wonderful choice for families. The entire staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The compact layout of the property is extremely manageable with young children. We spent a long time searching for an all-inclusive that could accommodate our family in one residence and are thrilled that we chose VDP.

We’ve come to the resort five times over the last 10 years and it’s always been an amazing experience. The restaurant food is amazing and the kids always love the kids club with Sophia, Jessica, Maria and the staff that always ensure that kids have a great time. All of the rest of the staff are friendly and ensure to go out of their way for whatever is needed.
