Disappointing Honeymoon Experience

My wife and I checked-in at Villa Zolitude for our honeymoon, expecting a luxurious and relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, our experience was far from it. Our villa had multiple spiders and lizards inside, making my wife extremely uncomfortable due to her severe herpetophobia. We understand that nature is part of the setting, but the room should have been better maintained to prevent these issues. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, the response was not handled appropriately, and no real effort was made to improve the situation. This completely ruined our stay, and instead of enjoying our honeymoon, we spent most of our time feeling uneasy and looked for a new resort/hotel right away. We did not even stay the night. For the price and reputation of this resort, we expected much better. If you have any concerns about cleanliness or wildlife in your accommodations, I would strongly reconsider staying here.

Beautiful but tough to justify the price

We spent 3 nights at Villa Zolitude as part of our honeymoon trip to Thailand. The private villa is absolutely stunning, spacious and has lots of amenities. The bed was comfortable and the views from bed were beautiful. We had fresh linen and towels daily, and the pool was cleared of debris too. The staff are very helpful and the onsite TukTuk service is very handy for getting around the hotel as being built into a mountain the paths are very steep. I only have two negatives, first being the location. There is nothing nearby the hotel not even a shop, you have no choice but to get a taxi or go on a very long walk if you wish to leave the hotel for any reason. The onsite restaurant is lovely but the menu is limited, we like to try different places when travelling and it’s difficult to do so here. We really struggled getting hold of grabs or bolts too sometimes waiting a long while to get a driver. My second negative is the breakfast, for somewhere charging so much per night I was expecting to be blown away by breakfast. The continental section is extremely basic & the hot food was so random and personally not what I would choose to eat in a morning, it felt more like a lunch or dinner buffet. I will say the make to order egg station and fresh coffee machine were both great though. Overall, I think this is a beautiful resort and we had a wonderful few days. However when I think about how much we paid for three nights and how restricted we felt I would absolutely not revisit, personally I don’t think the price reflects the experience.

Perfect retreat

Fantastic tree top villas with private pools. Service is outstanding nothing is too much trouble generous bottled water daily & very cheap mini bar in villas. The amities in the villa are fantastic even down to plug in bug repellant combs hats etc. The food in the restaurant was exceptional again with fantastic service & again very inexpensive for fantastic quantity food. Only regret is not staying longer
