I would start this review by saying that all-in-all, this is a great resort and my wife and I had a wonderful time. Positives: very friendly staff, fabulous nighttime entertainment, and the resort itself is clean and well- maintained. One other bonus and this is HUGE - it’s quiet and low-key, which means no boorish drunken guests, debauchery and/or loud music blaring over the pool speakers. Great activities such as kayaking, paddle-boarding and snorkeling are included and can be accessed right from the resort’s beach. The lounge chairs and amenities on the beach were plentiful and we never had to wait for some to become available. Negatives: the food, while tasty, is limited in selection. I tried to order an off-menu item that had been served a previous evening and our server refused the request. There is a coffee shop on-site that serves the same items daily, but as far as the restaurants are concerned, what you see on the menu, is what you get. There is a busy street that separates the family, beachside portion of the resort and the adult-only side. As far as I know this isn’t listed on the website and would’ve been nice to know prior as it was somewhat unnerving going back n’forth across a busy street throughout the day. Again, overall this is a terrific resort. If you’re looking for a tranquil, beach resort getaway that offers some fun perks and friendly service, than Waves is a perfect fit. Special shout out to Ryan, Ether, Troy and Loreal for going the extra mile to make our stay special!
