RACIST HOTEL- avoid if British !!! Awful experience staff are rude and only serve there own can’t make any noise or have any fun what so ever they serve people in front of you and shooo you away , hotel is basic , food is vile would not come again

The hotel i would say is more a 3 star than 4 based on accommodation. The facilities are good. This hotel is very geared up for young families and this is very nice with a show most evenings incorporating the children. There is plenty of food. Sometimes its repeated and it feels like yhe next day there are the odd left overs. But the culinary team make an effort and you can always find something to eat. Breakfast may need more options for a variety of palates, personally it appeared to cater for Russian and German clientele. There were limited English speaking staff even on reception which made communicating very difficult. There are plenty of sunloungers around all pools and the beach. I witnessed the staff providing more loungers when required. The pool was cleaned every night and this was refreshing. The activities during the day around the pool cater for all which is good such as aqua aerobics and water polo. The main pool can get very crowded. The rooms, we had a standard which is basic, no tea or coffee in the room. There are coffee machines around the facilities but no tea. The bathroom in the rooms are nice. The rooms need decorating and updating. However they are clean. The hallways are dark and there is lots of walls with poly filler or even a ceiling with tape holding things together. This was the real let down, its cosmetic but makes a difference to customers when selecting a holiday. The hallways were also very dark and became noisy with guest coming and going and knocking doors. I appreciate this was out of the control of the hotel. Room toilets you have to be careful flushing as the flush can stay in. We had 3 rooms all had the same issues. The spa was very nice and we opted for female staff for our females in the family group. A pleasant experience. Shops outside the hotel are great with plenty of haggling. Excursions also suitable. The location of the hotel is great and relaxed I just feel it needs uplift and cosmetic attention. The bar selection is limited so drinks like baileys brandy bacardi have to be paid for at a cost to us of 2000lira per night just to have a decent drink. Most bar staff communicate well with Russian and German guest but limited with English guest. Our love holiday travel rep Yunus was absolutely amazing and listened to our concerns and helped us make the best of the initial disappointment. He helped us to see past what we had expected and accept and appreciate what we were presented with. Yunus helped us with communication, excursions and made us love the experiences that this beautiful country presented us with. Thanks goes out to Yunus, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and to appreciate that although the standard we expected may not have been there we as a family had come to this hotel to relax and we should make the best of the rest of the family facilities. I think having more than one key for a room would be better. I think more attention to the rooms and hallways to uplift the hotel and bring it to the 4 star that it is meant to be. The Emergency signs need to be legible. The sign at the front of the hotel needs to be replaced as it was missing a letter.

This was a last minute holiday, and it wasn’t cheap for 5 days, 1 adult and 2 17 year olds. The good bits:- Reception looks lovely, ice cold air con, staff are lovely, couldn’t do enough for us. Bathrooms are all brand new and ultra modern. Beds are clean and comfy, air con is amazing. Cleaners are lovely when you see them. And that’s your lot!! The bad bits:- We have been here for 5 days, no towels changed or bedding changed or bins emptied. If you’re not down by 7am you will not get any beds or umbrellas. No one lies on them and the lifeguards don’t care, far more interested in topping their fans up or on their phone. I asked for an umbrella and was told “ not my job”!’ This hotel is NOT for the British it is for Russians and Turkish nationalities. Rude does not cut it. Pushing in, shouting at staff and other guests, thinking they own all of the sunbeds and they can move as many times as they like. It is a very old hotel, the sprinkler system has been put in probably about 20 years ago and all rooms have this joyous red metal work across all the rooms. The lifts my son has never even seen they are that old, two soo types with a door on the outside. Entertainment team, there are 4/5 of them, if you’re not Russian or Turkish they will not speak to you or mix with you. There is aqua- aerobics in the am and darts and that’s your lot. Afternoon, tow dances round the pool and more darts. We saw a foam party which looked good for the hords of marauding children running riot. Evening entertainment again was for the Russians and Turkish. Most staff do not speak English so it’s a non starter straight away. And meal times…. Oh my goodness I have never seen anything like it!!! We stopped using the the restaurant ( and I use that term loosely) as it was like hell on earth. Bad lighting, a bun fight with people running to get to food, not enough tables, cutlery or plates!!! Staff were lovely and were so over worked. I said thank you to a chef and I thought he was going to cry because everyone else was just barking at him. Avoid at all costs, it gives Turkey a bad name and we have been coming here for over 12 years. Marmaris is the place to be certainly not here!!!!
