Let me start by saying I have NO COMPLAINTS about the Yotel Miami. They saved my life, by having last minute accommodations after our original plans fell through at the last minute. Anyway, this hotel is conveniently located close to the PeopleMover, to the free Miami trolley (Coral Way route), and to Biscayne Blvd. The hotel itself is pretty modern, with 3 self-check in kiosks in the lobby, a card based system to let you on the elevator (no buttons INSIDE the elevator) and into your rooms. You can also do a self check-out at the kiosk: saved us A LOT OF TIME with a long line around 11am at the front desk. The room itself was great: it was small (not cramped) but we only needed it for one night before our cruise. There is no closet, and the doors/walls to the shower and watercloset are opaque glass with a motion light. The sink is in the room (its almost like a studio), and there is no closet, just a rack/bench to hang your clothes or coats. There are plenty of outlets to charge your phone, and the bed is adjustable. The lights are automated and pretty cool, and the window shade works wonders by blocking out 98% of the light in the morning. The hotel seems popular, especially with cruisers, so depending on the day, the lobby can get pretty crowded. I would recommend it, and I'd even consider ALWAYS flying in a day early before a cruise just so we can stay here again. AND DON'T MISS THAT THEY DO HAVE A POOL!!!
