The pros: perfect location to stay if you want to go to the Bayside Marketplace and be able to walk there. The hotel is very tech savvy from checking in, to the elevator, to the lights in the room. The cons: the bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds ever. It was on a metal platform so it can be raised up and down. The mattress was thin. It sank in the middle. My neck and back hurt so badly from this bed I can’t even today. Also, our room was on the 4th floor right by the transportation mover so you have to hear those little cars moving back and forth over and over. They aren’t that loud but people like me who accidentally focus on patterns when we should be falling asleep, it’s rough. The pool is on the“rooftop” and it is pretty small/tight. It’s all covered so you can’t go up there to get a tan for a few hours. The pool looks like a junior Olympic pool so it’s long but very narrow. Again, covered to access to sunlight. There’s about 8 chairs and people sit with full clothes on and sit in them so if you’re at the pool you are pretty much screwed and not going to find a seat. It was also very dirty on the upper level. Nothing was clean or nice. I looked up the breakfast menu on their site because it was included in my rate. It stated that 1 of what they call their “daybreak” menu was included. It turns out it comes with a buffet. The buffet wasn’t big but it was good. Cooked crunchy bacon, yummy full of flavor potatoes. Etc. I asked if I could have some cheese for my eggs, I was told the kitchen “doesn’t have cheese” 😳. I was like you have a whole menu to order from with cheese on it! So he gets the manager and the manager says “the chef gets mad if the people who get prepaid breakfast ask for anything on the daybreak menu” 😳😳. Like what?? I just want a little bit of cheese. He did end up getting me a couple slices. Just weird. He said corporate updates the site for them and they have no control over that. I don’t give a poop what your corporate does or why. Honestly. Just acknowledge that I was correct and you can deal with corporate on your own. Sorry but not my problem.
