Zante Sun Resort

Me and my wife stayed here 4th - 11th Aug 2025, Firstly if you are looking for a lively hotel with animation teams, aqua aerobics and lots of entertainment then this is not the place for you !! As a couple first time away without the kids we didn't want any of that. Its a lovely hotel and the staff work tirelessly day and night to keep it spotless, all the staff from front desk, cleaning and bar staff are all very polite and nothing is an issue. Rooms: we stayed in room 204 which overlooked the upstairs pool, nice and modern with two pushed together single beds that were pretty comfy. Bathroom has a hair dryer and good sized walk in shower. Air con was next level, first time ive moaned about being too cold before. No noise from other rooms or pool area once the patio door was closed. Pools: NO sunbed reservations until 10am and everyone stuck to it, it was bliss !. There were more than enough sunbeds for everyone and you could go for breakfast and stroll down 10am+ and still get two beds next to each other. There are three pools main one downstairs by the bar which is a decent size and rarely packed, people were using inflatables but it wasn't ridiculous busy. Pool upstairs was quieter and there was a small baby pool attached but sectioned of with railings. All in all lovely Food & Drink : Like an actual restaurant, comfy padded seats, no constant scrapping of canteen chairs. No self service drinks, once you were seated you you ordered drinks and soon as they were on the table it was yours, you could both get up and get food together without fear of loosing the table. Food was for me absolutely spot on. Greek salads, greek food in general...... good ! usual burger, nuggets and chips but i didn't go near any of it for the first time in AI. Breakfast for me was a let down but that was just because the hotel is mainly Italian, Dutch & German so no full English in sight. I didn't eat much for breakfast all week. Snackbar again usual burgers fries etc etc but you had to ask for it and they cooked it for you to order so no grubby little fingers picking it up and putting it back. Beer was good, proper solid big glasses too all day, my wife tried pretty much all the cocktails and found a couple that were ok, very sugary apparently. Shout out to Marino at the main bar, always happy and chatty. Skybar upstairs but like all AI's now they have to fleece you for more, this is a pay bar. Did it one night, don't bother its a rip off for what you get. Only real downside for us was that the hotel is a bit isolated, 20-25 minute walk into Laganas but no paths so can be a bit hairy at times with narrow roads and coaches. Cameo island is a must in the evening for a drink (10Euro each), only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. All in all great hotel, great holiday

All-in-all, we were quite disappointed with our booking. We booked with TUI as a family (2 adults, 1 child) for the free child's place on an all-inclusive package. It was quite disappointing that, despite this, there was absolutely no children's entertainment at the hotel (neither was there any adult's entertainment for that matter). Secondly, despite being all-inclusive, the hotel wanted to charge us a host of extras once we got there, including: use of the safe in the room (extra charge), use of beach towels (extra charge) and any half-decent alcoholic drinks (extra charge). All of the alcoholic drinks on offer in the all-inclusive package were very poor; the draft beer was acceptable but wasn't even the local Mythos typically served across Greece but instead was a lesser substitute. If you wanted Mythos, that was an extra charge. When we challenged these extra charges with the hotel, they effectively just shrugged their shoulders and said that was their policy. Some other things we were disappointed with were: 1) the gym, which was highly under equipped and most of the equipment was broken, 2) the spa, which was over priced (though, to be expected I guess), 3) the shower in the room which smelt of foul drains every time we used it, and 4) the amount of chlorine in all of the pools which ended up turning any white clothing/swimwear yellow. The food was generally acceptable. A few dishes in the evening were very nice but overall all of the food was underwhelmingly average. The atmosphere in the hotel felt quite downbeat in all honesty. Perhaps others felt the same way we did that we'd over-paid for the quality of the holiday we got. We didn't find the staff particularly engaging or helpful, but it would be a step too far to say they were rude. They just didn't really seem bothered whether we were there or not and didn't really do anything to make our stay more comfortable or enjoyable. We did manage to find some nice local spots 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel for some better quality meals and cocktails. The staff and atmosphere at these places were great - it's just a shame we felt we had to pay the extra to enjoy our holiday outside of the hotel, which we weren't expecting to have to do considering the amount we paid. Our child loved using all of the pools every day, so we can't really fault the facilities in this area, but if you want a holiday just for the swimming pools and nothing else, I'm sure there are more budget-friendly hotels which would give you better value for money.

We had a nice holiday here. Clean hotel, friendly staff and diversified food. The hotel is amazing, but the beach is small and dirty. The area is kind of boring, so you need a car if you want to have fun

Huge modern clean resort close to Cameo Island. The food was as expected for a 4 star and the staff were all very cheerful. The only negatives are that they charge you 3€ per day to use the safe in your room and towels for the pool are 1€. Special thank you to the gorgeous Rafaela at reception who was super friendly.
