One of the most famous and popular beaches in the Cayman Islands, Seven-Mile Beach is a long crescent of coral sand on the western side of Grand Cayman Island. Known for its beauty, it has received the honour of ‘The Caribbean’s Best Beach’ from Caribbean Travel and Life Magazine. There are multiple facilities as well as restaurants and bars all along the beach, making it a perfect spot for a family day out.
Relax on the white sand of Governor’s Beach; without the crowds that you might find on other popular beaches along Seven-Mile Beach. Located in front of the Governor’s home, hence the name, it is a great spot to play games on the beach or snorkel in the warm waters. For the best experience, enjoy a stroll with your family or partner and take in the picturesque views.
West Bay Beach can be found at the north end of Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman. This beach is a particularly perfect spot to catch some sun. Complete with restrooms and changing facilities, West Bay is also close to quaint restaurants and cafes to soothe any hunger you might have after swinging in a hammock or floating in the warm sea.
Coral Beach, also located on the world famous Seven Mile Beach is a boutique style venue that welcomes tourists and locals alike. Coral Beach while being a newcomer, has quickly established dominance, being the newest-go-to venue for sunsets, sandcastles, parties, and romance.
Found on the photo-ready north side of the island, Rum Point Beach is famous for its island atmosphere, white sandy beaches and clear shallow waters. An ideal spot for swimming and snorkelling, this beach offers hammocks, shady trees, picnic tables and delicious food.

Just south of George Town and nestled near the ports, is Smith Barcadere, also known as Smith Cove. With its location in the South Sound of Grand Cayman Island, it is a great opportunity for some stunning photos as well as phenomenal for snorkelling with the convenience of public restrooms, outdoor showers, and cute picnic benches. Surrounded by turquoise waters, the limestone formations and coral protect this site from most strong waves making it the perfect spot for families with young children.
Cemetery Beach is situated on the northern end of Seven Mile Beach and is relatively secluded from the hustle and bustle of the island while also being shaded by Casuarina and Sea grape trees. With spectacular views, it is the best at sunset when the sky is alive with a dazzling display of colour. There is good snorkelling opportunities nearby if you swim straight ahead to the nearest coral head.
If you are looking for a less crowded beach, head to Old Man Bay, on the north side of Grand Cayman. With restaurants close by, this quiet beach has been mostly untouched, and you can enjoy a romantic stroll along the shoreline with stunning views of the sunset before grabbing a bite to eat.
Cayman Kai is another secluded beach on the northern tip of Grand Cayman and offers breath-taking views and a peaceful atmosphere.
